Recently there has been some controversy over Stephen Curry and if he is the greatest shooter of all time so I have decided to take a look at the stats and see if Steph is really the best shooter of all time, and I used stats from Basketball Reference to emphasize my points.
Re
ggie Miller:
He played his whole career for the Pacers and shot 39% from three and is considered by many people to be the greatest shooter of all time.
Dennis Scott:
He played on a numerous amount of teams in his career but was most prominent with the Orlando Magic. He shot almost 40% from three in his career and is also considered by many to be one of the greatest shooters of all time.
Glen Rice:
He played for a lot of different teams, but he played the most with the Miami Heat. He shot a career 40% from the three point line and was one of the greatest shooters ever.
Ray Allen:
He played for the Celtics, Bucks, Supersonics, and the Heat and is widely known as the best shooter ever. He finished his career with a 40% three-point percentage and is probably the best shooter ever.
Larry Bird:
Larry Bird is one of the greatest players ever as well as one of the greatest shooters ever. He played his entire career for the Boston Celtics and finished his career with almost a 38% three-point percentage when the three was not as important as it was today.
Stephen Curry:
Curry right now has the second best three-point percentage at 44.5% only trailing his coach Steve Kerr. Curry also has the single season record for threes and this season is on his way to possibly getting 400 threes.
I vote for Steph Curry. What about players before the 3pt shot? I vote for Johnny Dawkins then, or maybe Steve Kerr.
